How to Choose a Woman Headband

How to Choose a Women's Headband

A headband can be the best item that you have for your hair. It can be worn when you’re having a good hair day, a bad hair day or when you just want a little extra something to pull your whole outfit together. There are quite a few different types of headbands on the market, but choosing the one that looks perfect on you is a lot easier than you may think.

        1.         Choose a skinny headband if you’re wearing your hair in a ponytail. It doesn’t matter if you have curly hair or straight hair, it will hold all of the little flyaway hairs in place. The double strand headband is great if you want a little extra control over your hair, but it doesn’t look so great if you have bangs.

        2.        Pick a thick headband if you are looking to add an extra little something to your wardrobe. This is great to wear whether or not you have bangs. Make sure not to wear it too far toward. Push it onto your head, then pull it very slightly forward so it creates a tiny little bump in your hair by your hairline.

        3.       Select a flat fabric headband when you exercise. This type serves triple duty. It keeps the hair out of your eyes as you are working out, makes your hair look good and absorbs sweat. These can be thrown in the washing machine to keep them clean and smelling fresh.

        4.         Choose a headband that complements your outfit. If you have a patterned shirt, stick to a solid colored headband. If you have a solid colored shirt, you can choose a patterned headband or a solid color that matches and/or compliments your outfit. When wearing a black or white shirt with a pair of jeans, any color headband goes.

        5.         Wear a scarf headband if you want to add some drama to your outfit. The scarf headband is a regular thick headband, but it has two pieces of extra fabric that tie under your hair and hang down. They usually come in funky retro patterns so you can subtly spice up a plain outfit.
